Honda LCR’s Thai Debut & EEST NJT Racing Team in Action

Bangkok’s Honda Safety Riding Park buzzed with energy as the Honda LCR MotoGP team made its official debut in Thailand. Racing fans, media, and industry experts turned out in force to witness this major milestone for Thai motorsport. The excitement reached a peak when Somkiat Chantra—Thailand’s first-ever MotoGP rider—stepped forward, proudly representing a new era for the nation’s racing community. Johann Zarco, another standout member of the Honda LCR roster, also joined the festivities, underlining the team’s international caliber.

But the big news didn’t stop there. The 2025 MotoGP season will officially kick off in Southeast Asia, running from 28 February to 2 March. It’s the first time in more than 25 years that the opening round takes place in our region, proving just how far Thailand has come in the global racing scene.

For us at EEST NJT Racing Team, alongside our main sponsor EEST Energy Services, this partnership with Honda LCR is a chance to drive real change for Thai racers. We see it as an opportunity to develop local talent—from grassroots to the highest level—by providing training, technical expertise, and vital sponsorship support. Our dream is to see more Thai riders following in Somkiat Chantra’s footsteps and standing on the world stage.

The unveiling event was a full-blown celebration of Thailand’s motorsport passion. After launching at the Honda Safety Riding Park, a lively procession of riders and fans made its way through the city, ending at The Ritz-Carlton Bangkok. Everywhere we went, people cheered on our Thai MotoGP star, proud to see a hometown racer at the pinnacle of motorcycle racing.
