The Asia Road Racing Championship 2023, held from 12-14 May at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, saw an impressive performance from the EEST NJT Racing Team. The team, comprised of five Thai racers and one female racer from Taiwan, battled it out on the track, demonstrating their skills and determination.
TVS Asia One Make Championship 2023:
In the TVS Asia One Make Championship, racer “Nay” Dalanpob Thongyoy, also known as Mr. Darunpop Thongyoy, made his debut. Competing with car number 14, Thongyoy started in 10th place and managed to secure a commendable 4th place in the 1A Group. However, in the subsequent races, he faced some challenges, finishing in 12th and 15th places respectively.
Underbone 150 cc (UB150):
In the UB150 category, “Gun” Pacharagorn Thonggerdloung, racing with number 32, made his first appearance at the Sepang International Circuit. Despite starting in 22nd place, he managed to finish in 16th place in the first race and 18th place in the second race.
Asia Production 250 cc (AP250):
The AP250 category saw some mixed results. “Bew” Warit Thongnoppakun, racing with number 94, showed promise but unfortunately was unable to compete in the first race due to a mishap during the qualifying period. Meanwhile, “Gafew” Watcharin Tubtimon, racing with number 25, started in 13th place and finished in 10th and 15th places in the first and second races respectively. The team’s female racer, “Vita” Li Ruei Yun, with car number 55, started in 23rd place and finished in 19th and 20th places.
Asian Superbike 1000 cc (ASB1000):
In the ASB1000 category, “Ball” Jakkrit Swangswat, racing with number 91, ran a time of 2:08.661, starting and finishing in 11th place in the first race. He improved his position in the second race, finishing in 9th place.
The EEST NJT Racing Team is now gearing up for their next race, which will take place from 23-25 June at the Sportland Sugo International Circuit in Japan.
